The Gift of Salvation

Gift of Salvation

Do you know where you are going when you die? This a question many of us have comptiplated at some point in our life. Is there a heaven? Is there a hell? Will I come back as a bird? Dog? Someone else? Will I walk the earth as a restless spirit?

While these questions may seem silly, they are all valid concerns we, as humans, have. At some point in our life we will be confronted with the issue of our own mortality. Usually this takes place when someone close to us has passed on. We start wondering how long we have left, what will it be like, where am I going? and so on and so forth. We become more and more concerned with the end result.

Many seek different methods of finding these answers. Some go to psyhcics to try and speak with dead relatives, others get involved with occults. There are hundredes of ways people go about trying to find the answers to these questions and yet all of these answers and quick fix solutions still leave them feeling empty and incomplete.

What exactly are people looking for when they search for the answers? Suprisingly they are not just looking for the answer to the question "is there life after death?" but they are looking to fill the emptiness that is inside them. They realize that they are not complete. They may have everything the could ever want; a family, a job, financial success, material possesions, etc. but they realize that something is still missing from their life and they are trying to fill or replace that feeling of emptiness or void that is inside of them. .

Is this you? Do you feel that even though things in your life are going great (or not so great) yet you know there is something esle out there for you. A feeling of incompleteness? Well, I know exactly what you are missing. See I too felt this way. I have a family that I adore and adores me, I am not finiancial set but I am not broke, and I thought I was set in life. Yet I had this nagging feeling, this emptiness inside that kept picking away at me. I went on the search like everyone else but unlike most.. I found the answer. Since I have stumbled upon this discovery (which was in front of me the whole time but was to ignorant to see) that feeling of emptiness, of unsureness and unrest has left.

What, might you be asking, was the solution? The answer was Jesus Christ. I won’t go into to much detail about how I came to find Jesus (who, by the way, is not lost, just waiting for you) but it involved my daughter having a bone infection in her foot and facing amputation at the age of 3 and a Pastor laying hands on her and the doctors coming in 2 days later stating that the bone infection was gone and they were stumped.

While my family and I experienced a miracle, your experience will be different. Many come to know him through different methods but most of them all started out the same way. They were looking for answers and they were trying to fill the emptiness inside them. My prayer is that this page will open your eyes, heart and mind to the gift that is Jesus Christ.

Gift that is Jesus Christ?  What do you mean he was or is a gift?  Well lets explore this a little bit. In John 3:16* it states: For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.  You see Jesus was sent to us so that we may know the love of God and so that we may find eternal life. Verse 17 hits on this a little more: For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. See it is through Christ that we find eternal life. God sent him to pay the ulitmate price so that we could find salvation. In others words,  He was a gift.A gift from God to his Children so that we would not be lost, confused or empty inside.

I could go on and on about the Love God has for us and how we can come to experience that Love and have a personal relationship with him but I will keep this short and end it here. (I might expand it a later time) If this message has sparked a small flame of interest I encourage you to pick up a Bible and start reading. It holds the answers to many questions. I also encourage you to seek out a local church and speak with the Pastor and with some of the Church members. Ask questions and lots of them. They should be more then willing to answer them and even share in their own personal experiences they have had with Jesus.

If this message has moved you and you are ready to experience you own personal relationship with Jesus Christ, please pray this simple prayer:

Heavenly Father, I come to you in the Name of Jesus. Your word says, "Whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved" and "If thou shalt confess with they mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved" (Acts 2:21*; Romans 10:9*). You said my salvation would be the result of Your Holy Spirit giving me new birth by coming to live in me (John 3:5-6, 15-16*; Romans 8:9-11*) and that if I would ask, You would fill me with Your Spirit and give me the ability to speak with other tongues (Luke 11:13*; Acts 2:4*).   I take You at Your Word. I confess that Jesus is Lord and I believe in my heart that You raised Him from the dead. Thank You for coming into my heart, for gving me Your Holy Spirit as You have promised and for being Lord over my life. Amen.

If you just prayed the above prayer I encourage you to contact a local church and explain to the Pastor that you have just accepted Jesus into your life. He should be more then willing to help you start your walk with Jesus. If you are not sure which Church you should contact, please feel free to contact us and we will be more then glad to help assist you in your new walk with Christ. I also encourage you to read the Bible and read further into the versus that were given through out this page. I also encourage you to read all of Romans 10.

Thank you for taking the time to read this message and may God’s Love shine through you.

*: When you come across a verse reference like this: Romans 10:9 it mean that the verse can be found in the Book of Romans, Chapter 10 verse 9.
